10 Keys to Good Case Submission
Here are some helpful suggestions on submitting a good case to peacedeals.org
1. Be Clear and Concise
Explain yourself clearly and start from the beginning of a story. Only include history if it's relevant to your case. Make sure you explain your association with the other party in the case (example: brother, friend, cousin).
2. Be Polite
Treat the arbitrator and the other party involved with respect. Don't resort to name calling, profanity or verbal abuse. It won't be tolerated.
3. Don't Use Personal Information
Keep personal details out your case. Don't include things like phone numbers, addresses, full names or anything else that may not be suitable for public viewing.
4. Lock For Privacy
If personal information is neccesary, or certain details are embarrasing or disturbing, make sure you lock your case.
5. Upload Good Evidence
Clear photos, signed contracts, reciepts, e-mail exchanges or witness statements are examples of good evidence. PDF documents and JPGs are prefered file formats.
6. Include Your Expectations
Make sure you clearly state what would be a favorable result in a final decision.
7. Write Well
Try to use good grammar and complete sentences. Check your case for spelling mistakes before submitting it.
8. Tell the Truth
You are expected to be honest in all your submissions.
9. Respond Quickly
If the arbitrator requests more information, make sure you are quick to respond. If your case isn't successfully completed and rated in 90 days it will be deleted from the website.
10. Look at Other Cases
If you are having difficulty finding the right words, or are not sure where to start, try finding a closed case you like and model your case after it.
