Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
At peacedeals.org, our Code of Conduct has been established so that all our users have sensible parameters for conducting themselves. Our Arbitrators use this Code of Conduct to help them make fair decisions.
Be Loyal
If you've made a promise to a person, being true to them is an honorable way to conduct yourself. We think keeping promises, honouring contracts, saying yes or no - and meaning it, is a good idea.
Be Honest
Telling the truth makes getting along with people easier.
Be Responsible
Being a good communicator and taking a pro-active approach to being fair and doing the right thing is important.
Respect Other People
Treating someone else the way you would prefer to be treated is something we like to see. Everyone should be treated the same way and be given the same opportunities.
Recognize Good Authority
Whether you are at work, at school, at home, or on the street, there might be other people in charge of what you can or cannot do. Make sure you give the rules set out by these people careful thought. Usually these rules are good and enforced for your benefit and safety.
Give Second Chances
Sometimes people make mistakes and feel bad about things they've done that were wrong. It's usually a good idea to give people another chance to make things right.
Opt for Peace
Life's not fair! Getting what you want is not always the best thing for everyone. Make sure you are fair and that you don't sacrifice an important relationship for something you might not need.
